Legal status
Registered with the Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (RRC) of South Sudan as a national non-governmental organisation, granted legal status on 28 April 2020 with a mandate to operate across the country.
Partnerships, stated accurately
AWA-AFRICA works in active cooperation with the Ministry of Gender, Child and Social Welfare, and alongside local government officials, community elders, religious leaders, youth representatives and women leaders whose backing makes community access possible.
The organisation participates in humanitarian and development clusters at state and national level, and is pursuing collaboration with UN agencies, international NGOs and development actors.
